Poddomkrachivaniye and replacement of wheels
The jack delivered together with the car should be used only for a car raising when replacing wheels or installations of axial support under a frame.

During replacement of a wheel the car has to be parked on the flat platform, the parking brake is completely cocked, and wheels are blocked. Establish transmission in position of the reverse gear (manual) or in situation the Parking (automatic). Hook and take off a decorative cap (if it is available) by means of the pointed end of a balloon key. Weaken nuts of fastening of a wheel half way, having left them on a wheel to тез a time until the last is lifted above the ground.
Place a jack head under a side part of the car, having made sure that it entered in especially for it the intended opening (directly behind a forward wheel, or before back). Establish a balloon key and turn its handle clockwise until the wheel does not begin to come off the earth. Completely give bolts of fastening of wheels, remove a wheel and establish on its place spare.
Put bolts of fastening of wheels and tighten them fingers. Lower the car, turning a balloon key counterclockwise. Take out a jack and tighten bolts in turn on diagonal with the required effort. If you have no dynamometer key, as soon as possible check efforts of tightening of bolts in dealer office of the BMW service or at the specialist in replacement of wheels. Establish a decorative cap.

Preferably, however, at any type of transmission to tow the car with the driving (back) wheels lifted above the ground.
For gearing of the towed car specially designed equipment which fastening should be made to elements of the bearing car frame, but not to a bumper or to bumper arms has to be used. The towing equipment of hummock type cannot be used on these cars.
Observance of safety rules is one of the major requirements at towage of the car. The parking brake has to be released, transmission is established in neutral situation. Steering has to be unblocked (the ignition key in situation "1"). Remember that at the switched-off engine the mechanism of hydrostrengthening of a wheel and the vacuum amplifier of brakes do not work.
