Installation of corners of forward wheels is an adjustment which is carried out on forward wheels in order that they settled down under the correct corner in relation to a suspension bracket and to the earth. If corners of forward wheels are incorrectly established, it will influence not only steering, but also will increase wear of tires. Usually on forward wheels disorder of wheels, a corner of a cross inclination of an axis of turn and a convergence (divergence) of forward wheels are measured. The convergence (divergence) of forward wheels is regulated on all models; the corner of a cross inclination of an axis of turn is not regulated. Disorder of wheels is regulated only by replacement of the top support of a rack of a suspension bracket with special eccentric model. The convergence (divergence) is regulated also on back wheels, but only by replacement of external plugs of the longitudinal lever by special eccentric plugs.
Installation of corners of forward wheels is very exact work for which correct performance are required difficult and expensive equipment. Therefore the mechanics with necessary tools is the best of all to cause for holding this procedure. The corner of a convergence (divergence) is a deviation of wheels inside. The purpose of installation of a certain corner is ensuring their parallel rotation. If the car has a zero corner of a convergence, then the distance between forward edges of wheels will be equal to distance between the rear edges of wheels. The actual size of a corner of a convergence is usually very small. The corner of a convergence of forward wheels is regulated by the provision of a tip of steering draft of rather steering draft. The corner of a convergence of back wheels can be regulated, having only installed special eccentric plugs on an external support of the longitudinal lever. Incorrectly established corner of a convergence will result in uneven wear of tires because they will scrape the surface of the road.
Disorder of wheels is a deviation of wheels from a vertical axis if to look at the car in front or behind. If wheels are rejected outside in the top part, then such disorder is called positive (). If wheels in the top part are rejected inside, then disorder is called negative.
