13.14.6. Repair of considerable damages of a body
It is the best of all to provide repair of serious damages of a body to the qualified specialist in repair of bodies, it is the best of all from dealer office of the BMW service. Such repair will require the specialized equipment.
If extensive damage are sustained, the body should be checked for deformation of the bearing elements, otherwise it can influence characteristics of controllability of the car and accelerate wear of its other components.
As all large components of a body (such as cowl, wings, etc.) are separate knots, at serious damage of any of them it is preferable to replace them, but not to repair.

Sometimes spare components of a body can be found on scrap metal dumps which specialize in polzovanny details of cars, it is frequent at much lower prices, than new details. |
