Symptom

Possible reason

Fuel consumption is excessive

The filtering element of the air cleaner is polluted or its passability is otherwise broken (see the Head Routine maintenance of the car).

Installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition is broken (see the Head Sistem of ignition).

Functioning of systems of decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases is broken (see the Head of the Control system of the engine and decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases).

Internal components of system of injection of the fuel/carburettor are excessively worn-out or damaged (see the Head the Power supply system).

Pressure of a rating of tires is not enough, or tires not of that standard size are installed (see the Head Routine maintenance of the car).

The unsuccessful manner of driving is chosen, or an adverse effect of external factors takes place.

Fuel leak takes place, or distinctly smells of gasoline

At emergence of suspicions on existence of leaks fuel operation of the car should be suspended immediately - leaks in a motive compartment can be the reason of ignition!

Defect of lines of supply of fuel, or ventilation of a gasoline tank takes place (see the Head the Power supply system).

The gasoline tank is crowded.

Injectors the fuel/carburettor are excessively worn-out, or tightness of laying of components of a power supply system is broken (see the Head the Power supply system).
